Hi Jill,
I thought I would let you know that we have settled in well. We bought a new house within four weeks of arriving and were suprised how quickly it was finalised Our furniture arrived,virtually unscathed, two days after completion.
The weather here has been the coldest for forty years and we have missed our central heating, one consolation is that the daytime temprature rose to about 14º C. We are envying the hot sunny weather you appear to be having in the U.K. It is strange going into garden centres and seeing all ther flower and vegetable plants ready for planting in the middle of "winter".
Like in England it is " sale time " in the shops which run continuosly under different names, at least when they have a sale prices are reduced considerably ie.40-60% off each item. We are managing to meet alot of new people having joined a Probus and an Indoor bowling club.
Once again thank you for helping to make our emigration run smoothly.
