Living in New Zealand
As the "Land of the long white cloud", New Zealand has often been a popular tourist destination with British travellers. Known all over the world for its endless, untouched wilderness and picturesque lakes and countryside, New Zealand is a great location to call your next home.Located just over 2000km east of Australia, New Zealand consists of two islands - "North Island and "South Island". The climate in New Zealand is quite complex given the size of the country, but is attributed to the mountains and steep alpine terrain that covers 13 per cent of the land mass. The driest and wettest parts of New Zealand are just 100km apart, with the West Coast seeing the most rain and the East Coast remaining fairly dry.
Recently, New Zealand has been labelled as the "World's Most Peaceful Country". This was measured by the absence of violence within the country and measures elements such as political stability, risk of terrorism, murder rate, likelihood of violent demonstrations, respect for human rights, internal conflicts, arms imports and involvement in foreign wars.
New Zealand is well-known for its laid back lifestyle and for a land mass similar to the size of the United Kingdom, contains only four million people. If you are looking for a laid back lifestyle with a great deal of countryside to enjoy, then New Zealand could be your next destination.
