Applicants must be aged less than 55. They must be able to demonstrate that they have at least four years' successful business experience in a senior management role in a business or businesses in which they have an ownership interest; that their business and personal assets have a net value of at least $250,000 and that they have adequate assets to finance the new venture and to support themselves whilst the business is being established; they must also demonstrate that they have carefully researched the market and must submit a detailed business plan. They must obtain sponsorship from the appropriate regional authority of a State or Territory government.
