Emigrate to South Australia

South Australia is the third largest of Australia's States and covers an area of 984,000 square kilometres. The "Festival State" as it is commonly known is home to just 1.7 million people, the majority of whom reside in the state's capital Adelaide.

Adelaide has made a fast name for itself through its love of food and affordable living. There are plenty of regions around the State that are including the popular wine regions of the Barossa and Clare Valleys. Adelaide is home to a number of museums and gardens and until 1995 hosted the Australian Formula One Grand Prix at the Adelaide street circuit.

Described as a Meditteranean climate, South Australia plays host to around 2500 hours of sunshine a year. The average temperature in Summer is a warm 29C but drops to around 15C in Winter. The north of the State sees a very intense sun due to its close proximity to Australia's "red centre".

South Australia is well-known across the world for its award winning wine region. The region is home to a number of food and wine festivals featuring products from some of its popular wine regions including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra. The State also plays host to a number of wildlife attractions including the popular Kangaroo Island which allows enthusiasts to go whale watching and experience some of Australia's natural beauty.
