The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 11 January 2012

536EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
418 with job offer
118 without job offer

107 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand.

0 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 110 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage

A total of 643 EOIs representing 1,337 people were therefore selected

Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 18% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 82% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
