The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 30th November 2011:

387 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
318 with job offer
69 without job offer

100 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled jobs in New Zealand.

76 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 115 or more but less than 140, and included 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage

A total of 557 EOIs representing 1,182 people were therefore selected

Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 14% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 86% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help
