New Zealand has confirmed that it will maintain their "Residence Programme" for 2010/11 at the current level of 45,000 to 50,000 visas with 60% allocated to the Skilled and Business Stream.

This announcement confirms the government's confidence in continued economic growth and subsequent demand for Skilled and Business migrants to support it.

In addition New Zealand have announced a reduction in tax rates from 1st October 2010, with the base rate falling to 17.5% - one of the lowest of any country.
