The following EOIs were selected from the pool for validation on 24 February 2010:
392 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
340 with job offer
52 without job offer
392 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 140 or above:
340 with job offer
52 without job offer
117 EOIs were selected that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140, and included points for offers of skilled employment or current skilled employment in New Zealand.
146 EOIs were selected that had a points total between 120 and 135, without a job offer, but with 15 points claimed for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage.
(A total of 555 EOIs were therefore selected)
Conclusion: Leaving aside the EOIs in areas of Absolute Skills Shortage, only 10% of applicants managed to achieve the selection point without a job offer. Thus, 90% of ordinary applicants needed a job offer to qualify. Clearly, getting a job is of paramount importance to your application, which is where our Jobsearch Programme is best placed to help.
The next selection will take place on Wednesday 10th March 2010.
